so after reading that thread u posted i will need the following? seeing as im a 07 with the Pioneer system

Single DIN kit number
Metra = 99-3302

07+ Cobalt's need the Chrysler antenna adapter
Metra = 40-CR10
Scoshe = CRAB

7.) Is there another solution other then the pricy gm lan harnesses for 07+ vehicles?
Yes you can buy the regular harness that will plug in but you will loose your door chimes.
Metra = 70-2202

I think the only reason you need the expensive one is if you have onstar. I have the pioneer system and i bought the cheap one and didn't lose my door chimes or anything.

see thats the thing im not 100% sure which harness i got cuz i got it from a local audio shop that they "said" would work.. they then wired it onto my HU right away and i went home thinking that all was well.. i guess not

the airbag sensor was always plugged in

also when the tuner or cd player was on the speedo/gas gauge/tach would all drop down to zero like the car was off.. wtf

is the deck/harness compatable with the car? i know there was something about a deck/harness i bought it was fully compatable with my vehicle and lil **** when i put my window down the music would stop for a few seconds but the bass would keep going. maybe your **** is either hooked up wrong or the deck/adapter thing is not compatible with your car.

just my .02. i could be wrong thou. just trying to help.

sounds good then. you probably had the saturn harness and put some sort of power or speaker input into the gm lan wire
