Pioneer App Radio
Anyone use this app? I can get the basics to work on app radio live but i also installed an app to monitor the engine, etc.. But I can't get that app to display on the display? The app was specifically made for app radio for that reason. How do I get other app radio apps to appear in the app?

I am connecting via USB connection and using Android (S8+). The app works on my phone and connects to my bluetooth OBDII device, just can't get it to mirror on AppRadio on the head unit.

If your head unit is 2014 or lower manufacture date, you have the old AppOne and it doesn't work almost at all. If it's newer, they made improvements, but the app still sucks. If you support it, AndroidAuto is the way to go.

It's this one -
And ya, AppRadio does suck..Kind of disappointing they did not update it to compete with Android Auto..I would like to get Android Auto but its out of my range at the moment.

ive got the original app radio head unit from pioneer (avh-8400bh). was great when it first came out, then less than a year later the iphone 5 came out. once i upgraded my iphone (cause iphones suck and break) it was pretty much useless aside from basic deck functions. pioneer did offer an update, however you needed a laptop with inferred to do the update, and being i couldnt find anyone who had one i never did it. would be nice if they had made plans to better update the decks.
now im finding myself wanting gps again but not wanting to pay the money for a gps deck. im leary of going with app radio again because of the poor update support. ive now got an android and have been considering android auto, but really all i want is gps and with the cost of android auto head units i may aswell just get a navigation head unit
