So i got it installed by the local tuner shop today. Started the car left speaker started to pop a couple times but that was minor. Connected my ipod to the connector, Nothing doesnt read it at all. And the unit mutes itself after 5 minutes while on.

Any suggestions.

 

2 things:

it coud be in demo mode, same thing happend to me, if it is then just hold the source/volume knob till it shuts off then turn it on, since its a newer model it might be a diff procedure

or you could disconect the mute wire if you have it hooked up, that worked also for me

 

Yea this one tells you its in demo mode so i think im not in it. Im gunna call the shop tomorrow and get them to fix it correctly.

 

im almost positive its the mute wire, mine did the same thing, i just cut and taped it and it worked

 

So my ipod cable works through AV but not the ipod setting, I bought the extra addon cable that was like 30 bucks just so i could have it go through the Ipod setting any guesses?

 

could be the wrong cable? could be unplugged?
