Pioneer AVHP5000DVD
ok, i had this headunit in my old Nissan Sentra Spec V and unfortunately, the car got totalled. I pulled it out (tested it first to make sure it still worked) and rewired it with i think a scosche harness(which might be my problem). When i plugged it in, it didnt work. No lights or anything. I did notice however that my gauges went screwy and they didnt work whenever i grounded everything. I am kindve a noob when it comes the these things, but is this normal. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

i am using the metra plug. i just got a chance today to start looking at it some more. its a 2006. i noticed that the switched ign wire isnt in the right place. so i jumped the switched to the sunroof fuse to make sure i had it and grounded everything right. still nothing. my gauges didnt go crazy this time though

then theres a 99.9% chance its the wrong one. the gauges issue should be solved with the new acc because the "stock" one is data and hooking something up to it freaks out the bcm
the speaker wires should be on the top in a line (front front rear rear all by each other) not a square formation (front front on the top rear rear on the bottom)
also with the pioneer system you need to hook up the remote wire to the stock amp (blue/white on the metra plug)
