pioneer p4000dvd + iphone
I posted about this a while ago but got no useful responses so I figure ill post again and see if anyone has found any solutions.
I have a p4000dvd and the cd-i200 ipod adapter. when i purchased this ipod connector i was aware that iphones will not charge but to my understanding they would work the same as any ipod.
my problem is that when I plug in the iphone i can scroll through and play all my music, but no music comes from the speakers in the car or the phone...so basically i can see the music playing but cannot hear it.
any help appreciated

SHouldnt have to jailbreak for music/ipod to work in the car. You might have got the wrong cord. I have an iphone 4 and I bought a generic cord for an ipod an it didnt work for my phone. I had to go get the actual Apple cord for iphone4 (which may work for other devices too not sure) and it worked great. Had to jailbreak my phone to get it to mirror out to the screen in my car tho. Otherwise the only thing it would video out is youtube. My setup charges the phone as well

Hmm cause mine also has a USB port that i moved to my glove box but the normal ipod/usb cord would not work.
is the cord you have different than the normal iphone usb cords? also what was the price.
thanks

hmm I am not too concerned about using the video out feature as much as audio out, but it sounds like the cord you have would take care of both
now i just gotta decide if id rather sacrifice my phones speed or $40
