Pioneer Sub? Amp? Work?
K, here it is. Can i hook a aftermarket amp to the stock sub or would it blow. i didnt know the specs on the stock pioneer sub. it doesnt look like it could handle much but was just curious.

depends on the amp size... while it could be done if you were to do so id invest in an amp thats specs are head on with an aftermarket sub... that way if you do blow it you have enough power for the aftermarket one and you know exactly which sub to buy
Well i was just curious. i know it wont be as loud as my previous systems. At one time i had 4 12" subs, then 1 12" sub, 2 10" subs, 1 15", and 2 12" subs that i recently blew. I think im gonna get some w7's, but not sure
no you can not hook an amp up to it. it will blow. it is an 8ohm sub. i have yet to run across and 8ohm amp. but its not raded to that much. i poped mine with only 25watts. just get the pioneer slim thing and an amp hooked up to the line that is hooked up th the factory line.
