Out of the sub size combos 10's and 15's go best together (there are alot of variables included in that though)
However i do not suggest mixing subs unless your having it done by a pro, with the right equipment (timing, box, ect).
If the subs are different makes or different models causes problems, most subs run at different freq. so cancelation is a problem.
Besides where are you going to properly fit a box for 2 10's and 2 15's in the trunk of a Cobalt? The 15's alone should take up most of the trunk.

Your better off to just put the 15's in and run all that power into them rather than put it all in and have to put them in undersized boxes.
One of my buddies used to have 2 10's and 1 15 in a 91 Integra, it sounded good but they were PPI flat subs and 2 Phoenix Gold Titanium 800.1 running them in a custom made box built and tuned to spec.
So unless your going to have everything done by a pro, and are going to use all the same equipment I don't suggest it, I don't even know how you would fit it in.

fyi since ur local i can get you a badass box for a pretty good price. Infact i can almost bet a single 12 RE (sr or se) in the t-line box we make will sound cleaner and louder then any double 15/10 in the standard texas boombox box. If it shows you anything about their quality they call us to help design boxes because they dont know how. But they ultimately choose to tune it way to high in a tiny ass box only held in with a few staples and silicone after the fact (no glue or anything)

ya re is more expensive the fi but most of how good anything sounds has to do with the box. we happen to have a t-line box that works very will for a single RE SR or SE 12 and honestly whoops the **** out of most stuff you can find.

also i wouldnt really say scott made the subs better. he designed the re subs and sold the company and rights. so he went out and made new subs very similar to the re ones. now that its a few years later there has been some vast improvements in the fi line up but he didnt magically start out with anything different

he didnt have to do anything magical he already knew what he was doing. and i would never buy a prefabed box. I build my own boxes never liked prefabed stuff. I have a single 12 fi q series in a vented box 2.7 cubes tuned to 37 htz and it hit 142.6 on the mic in a 2002 caddy deville. and the q is middle of the line sub.

i know the Q is the SQ sub. there's actually 2 of the 15s sitting at the shop right now.

Yes i know scott knows what hes doing. he designed all the RE speakers minus the old XXX. You said RE is inferior to FI. i said no because for the most part its the same ****. Now mind you the newer stuff FI is coming out with probably is but saying that as a whole re is inferior is sorta ignorant.

i never said they were inferior as a whole, i said he has made better subs. U just stated in ur post that they are better so who sounds ignorant now?
I was simply trying to give the guy a cheaper good quality choice. Sorry you got all butt hurt because I didnt say to use the brand you sell. Since re has went main stream they are way over priced but still a very good product. Guess i didnt know that you are the almighty around here......
