radio upgrade needed
looking to purchase new radio
Hello,
I currently have a pioneer deh-p680mp (with ipod hookup) and the knob fell off after having it for 3 years so I'm looking to upgrade it. Here is my current setup.
pioneer radio
infinity kappa component speakers in door/rear
hiphonics zeux 5 channel amp
10" pioneer subwoofer - (300 watts)
I am looking for something that supports ipod and also built in blue-tooth. I am thinking jvc kd-900 would be a good option. I see it has 3 Sets of 5V preamp outputs but i see some radios offer 2V. I am not sure what the difference is? Also seen these models with built in bluetooth. JVC KD-R820BT, Kenwood KDC-BT848U
Just wanted to get more feedback before i purchase it.
thanks

sorry i havent had a chance to reply to ur pm but lifes getting a lil hectic right now. id definatly look into higher volt preamps. the 2v will work but with the setup you have it will be more then worth buying a 4 or 5v hu
Id also look into the radios with built in bluetooth. the R900 is sorta a half built in half not so unless your saving a hell of alot of money its not worth it IMO (the radio just supports a jvc specific USB bluetooth dongle. So you plug it in to have bluetooth and unplug it no bluetooth. well thats cool unless you want to listen to anything on the usb or ipod.

I have been reading more on the kenwood x895 and x995 and everyone sells there hard to read and distorts. They say the x695 does not do that. Now i see i can get the x695 a little bit cheaper than the 895. I was wondering if you think the x695 would be good for my setup. I also am curious how the bluetooth would work.
x695 is a bread and butter unit at our shop....we put a shitton of those in each day and they don't really have many problems or complaints from the customers we sell them to. The bluetooth is nice and extremely simple to hookup and setup. great bang for your buck pick imo.
