rca line in ipod help

I read some posts and understand that there are no rca inputs in the back for my Ipod. I know a decent bit about wiring stereos but dont know where i am going to wire in a line in converter. I have an 06 ss/sc with the pioneer system and i am going to keep my stock hu and i have to keep my steering wheel controls working) I have never seen the back of my radio so if there is an obvious solution that i am missing i apologize

i would say your best bet is to get a fm modulator that plugs your factory antenna into and the modular is digital so you can digitaly tune it to a station that is unused / also the way it works is that you plug your factory antanna into the box then plug the box into your radio if i can find the one that my friend used i will post a pic of it

yeah you can only input ipods into cars that have the available adapter, talk to cructchfield.com and see if they have one, im pretty sure that they do not for our cars.

Thumbs up

i believe there's something out there that will plug in between your factory wiring harness and your factory head unit that will allow you to connect the I-Pod to the head unit. Myfriend ownes a high end car audio dealership try giving him a call his #'s 412-364-2123 and his website is www.21stcenturysound.com. he's a nice guy and he'll do everything he can to help you out.

Cruthfield does indeed have one that fits our cars, as well as the necessary antenna adaptors. I should know - I bought and installed one myself.

Clicky.

That should give you all the info you need.

so lets say i decided that i just wanted to put in a whole new deck, what sort of wiring harness/deck do i need to get. I still have to retain my controls for the steering wheel. Is this possible or not.

crateenginedepot.com put a picture up of it. It DOESN't work for the '05-06s, it is simply just a wire with a headphone jack on each end. It would be what you would need to plug an IPod into one of the '07 black tie radios.
