Recommended Speakers for Cavalier?

I have an alpine deck in my cavalier, and just got the body fixed from hail damage and decided to keep my cavalier for a while... I also have a JL sub in the back, Alpine amp...
I need some recommendations on 4x6 speakers and 6x9 speakers. I was thinking some Infinity Kappas?

Anyone have some great suggestions for the best value??

do your self a big favor , dont use 4x6" speakers

either buy the adaptor for the 6" , or make your own adaptor plate

youll be alot happier with the sound

I had 5 1/4 alpine r's in my front, and type r 6x9's in the back, i thought it didnt sound to bad, have to make your own or purchase brackets for the fronts though. Id go with 6 1/2's if i did it over, much less distortion and they sound a lot better, thats what i replaced the 6x9's with in my ss, all alpine type r's again, same alpine amp driving them. i also have 2 type r subs with a jl 500/1 and a 1.5 farad cap. I am going to get 2 more JL amps, another 500/1 and a 300/4, i think they are prolly one of the best for the money

Agreed. I had some 4x6 Infinity Kappa plate speakers in the front of my Cavalier and they produced some of the best highs I've ever heard.. Get yourself a good pair of 6x9's to make up for the lack of bass from the little guys though. I was running some pioneer 6x9's in the back. Hopefully you can do better than that for the back. I ran out of money at the time.

I ran 5-1/4" Infinity components in the front and Elemental Designs 6.5" components in the rear of my Cavalier. It was an '02 Z24 though so I had to run different wire. since the factory had a crosover of some sort on the 6x9's and had 2 sets of wires comming in. I just ran rockford twisted 15 guage. You could do some 3 or 4 way 6x9's in the rear but I'd highly recommend some components in the front, much better sound quality.

Since you have the JL sub might as well go with the JL speakers to me the best for the money. Even the TR series sounds better that anything that i have heard and i got them 4X6 and 6X9 for around 300 not too bad.
