Red projector halo's

Might be a dumb question but is it possible to make the halos on projectors like up red and run as DRL's like bmw's but still be able to use my 10k hid bulbs at night?

It depends on what you have for headlights or projectors currently as to how easy it is. Also, it is more than likely illegal to run the red halos in the front while driving.

My cars red and black with tinted headlights so literally ALL I would want to be showing during the day is the red halos and nothing else. Btw the pics are sick that's the exact color I was lookin for

As far as it being illegal I really don't care I already have plently of things I could be pulled over for

Those red halos are what I have on my car. What I did was wire the the halos separate and put them on a switch. I wired with power from my wind shield wipers so I they only have power on with the car on. Then you can also turn them off if you pass a cop...like I do when I'm in New York

you wnt it like this?

well typically when i start my car my auto lights come on...if yours are tapped to the wiper fuse im guessing you just turn autolights off and the halos remain on?

right now i have 10k bulbs in the stock housing, could i take my bulbs out and reuse them in the new projector housing for low beams?

well for the pic, yea I turned the auto lights off. But since there are to separate sources of light for high and low beams on the Gen 1s, you can have the halos on and still be able to see them on the projector that isn't being used.

No you can't take the bulbs outa the stock housing cause they are 9007 bulbs I believe and depending on which gen. projector you get you'll need either H1 or I think H7 bulbs...

Hmm, are the stock leds the same size? Cuz they look pretty bright to me, dunno if CCFLs are really worth an extra $100+...

Yep...stock ones are also 3mm. I got some 12v LEDs from superbrightleds.com. Installed them and thats what you got. They look WAY redder in person. The pics make'em look pink

Good stuff. Did you have to take apart the headlight housing to change the LEDs?

eBay, try retro-solutions.com, or email buyhids.com, they may be able to source you a set. Get ccfl halos as they are brighter than typical led halos.
