Remote Starters

I searched and couldn't come up with any answers. What is a good brand/model of a remote start? I only want to have one key fob for keyless/remote start...and I also don't want one that costs $450 million. Thanks for the help.

brands?

I can tell you that our cars can be a pain if you dont know what your doing when you install them. I have been doing it for about 6 years now, and these models can cause problems. I am a directed dealer and I wouldn't pick any other brand. Someone mentioned bulldog, well, if you wanna you can but my experience with them is the ten foot range and difficult method of programing them, makes them one step short of the trash can. I would stick with dei products, clifford, viper, valet and so on. Our vehicles have special modules to "Talk" to the vehicles also. If you dont use them, you could cause serious damage if your not careful. Good luck,

I have an Audiovox, it has excellent range and it works very well for my Cobalt Sedan. It's a one button unit. Extactly what I wanted. Hit one button it turns it over and keeps the parking lights on. Only shuts off if the key is not the ignition before the 20 minute timer goes off, or you hit the brake without the key in the ignition. Will not allow you to put the car in gear without the key. You can just as easily shut it off. I paid $250 for mine and it works great.

One side effect thought is once in a great while the security light comes on... I've found that if you don't unlock the car first before you hit the starter it will have the light come on.

It wants to lock the doors and if the condition is already met it turns it on.

If your coming to the meet tomorrow I can show you what I got. It's easy operation and takes only 2 hours for a professional to install.
