Reverse light LED help

I am going to be doing the LED in the reverse light mod, and I am not sure which color LEDs to use. I am afraid that if I use white, they will be too bright, and if I use red they might not be bright enough.

Thanks for any help, and here is a link to the mod in case anyone is wondering:

Use white leds because the red lense will make it red.
And every other brake light is a white bulb so it will match.

And don't buy those cheap Pepboys LEDS. Find some that have a nice high intensity and use them.

I was wondering if using white if it would bleed over and look like your backup lights are on?

Damn, i used only 8 per light. Do you just have a mess of wires back there now or what?

48 LEDs total. 24 LEDs a light. I hooked 4 LEDs in series and then each group of 4 LEDs I have in parallel. I then hooked the negative wire to ground and the positive side to the brown wire on the tail light. I only have 2 wires coming off each backup light. I thought it looked very clean. The LEDs that I put in did not have wires on them. With the way I did it I have 3 ground wires and 3 positive wires hooked to the 2 wires that go out to the tail light.

I used LEDs like this http://cgi.ebay.com/50pc-5mm-Super-B...em250070725753

How much would you charge to do 2 pairs? They look sweet.

I've got one set on a car in a garage that I can get to you right away, and when they are done I can give you the other set..

I had a defective LED; it started flashing, making the other 3 in series flash also. Since I was replacing it, I decided to take some pics.
