That little round thing in the middle of the speaker, yeah thats called a tweeter, it even says so in write up.
What you didn't like was the placement of the tweeter in what ever system you herd them in, whoever put them in had the x-over settings wrong, or didn't have a x-over at all. IMO, when it comes to your front sound stage tweeters are a must.
That being said they look like decent speakers, are you going to run them off the stock amp, or an aftermarket amp

 

i really like them in my moms saturn but the tweet is sorta harsh (i prefer silk myself)

 

stock...i feel like a tard not seeing that tweet in the speaker, it was late

 

I have a rockford system..2 rockford subs and a rockford amp. Good quality. Im sure these will be a good buy.
