Secure sub box?

How did, or how could you secure a sub box (with a sub in it of course) in the trunk of a Cobalt.... Mine likes to slide around a little bit.

I'm sketchy about drilling into my trunk as I don't know what's beneath that floor....

The 12" Pioneer sub sits in a custom wooden box on the driver's side, directly behind the seats. The amp sits on the carpet to the right of it. The sub fires towards the back of the car.

Thanks guys.

thats pretty close to the gas tank.... in the rear you can drill pretty much anywhere but closer to the front of the car theres some **** under there. id look under the car and double check. see if you can find the 3 seat bolts to give u a reference

superglue it hehe... if you really want to get creative. Make two 1/4" panels of mdf, get some neodymium magnets, drill holes in panels and sink them in... POW power of magnets.

mount one to the underside of the box, and the other slide under the carpet... that **** isnt moving

i have a thing about not drilling in peoples cars UNLESS it the last option possible ( i have this from working on exotics and shiiii)

This is way too much work for 1 12'' sub box lol. Just drill it somewhere in the trunk with some elbow clamps is prob your best/simplest/most secure bet without getting too creative.

Mounting

I have a 12 in a ported box with large angled aluminum mounted to the rear. I used the two existing bolts right behide the seat, and mounted through the aluminum. No drilling or damage to the car chassie in anyway.

I buy the rubbermaid Shelf Paper... It's made for your kitchen shelves to prevent glassware from sliding around. I cut to fit the bottom of the box and then just stable the corners to the bottom...

This stuff....
Grip-It Shelf and Drawer Liner - Black

It's worked in every box except my 2 audioque's... but that box was close to 160 pounds with all the equipment in it.
