some basic questions
OK, so I'm pretty new to this. I did some looking around and think I would be able to hook my own amp and subs up. I do have a couple of questions though...I have a 2005 base model with the crappy 4 speaker system. I have replaced the stock radio with a new head unit. Would I just remove my rear speakers and use the speaker wire already there to go into the amp? Ive seen some pics on here of setups, what exactly do you mount your amp to? looks like its kinda on the wheel well in most setups. Should I also replace my speakers in the front door? Or will it make that much of a difference. I'm not looking for anything crazy, just a good solid sound. What kind of power in an amp and subs do I need? Any other basic info I should know before getting into this would great as well. thanks.
if u already have an aftermarket HU best way to get signal for the amp is running rcas to the HU. power and ground to the batt and remote to the HU remote of course.
Replacing the front speakers makes a big difference. i would do them at least. and u can mount the amp to the back of the seat for ease of installation
