hitting hard doesnt matter, the sound quality is not there
I bought a Sony Xplod Deck, Sony Xplod 1200W Amp and a Sony Xplod 12'' sub like 2 years ago. They all still work just great. Didn't really have the money for anything real expensive then either. Haha
it can hit hard and still cackle at the same time. why do you think they are so cheap? also, try putting a 1200watt amp on one of their "1200 watt" subs. it will blow so fast it will make your head spin
no speaker is made to run its max contiously anyway, RMS is usually half of that.
and how could i use a head unit incorrectly????
i have a sony 15" sub. its 450 watts rms and i push it with a 550 rms amp at 4 ohms. i had 2 of them (15"s) in my old ride pushed by 900 watts rms at 2 ohms. i have no complaints whatsoever. but i have no experience with their speakers. for the price i wouldnt complain. the subs were 120 each and the amp was 190 (550 4 ohms, 900 2 ohms) not bad, and it pounds like a seasoned veteran *****
I love sony's products.... Buy whatever u want, in the end, if ur happy with it then thats all that matters.
My cuzn had a show car back in cali that was sponsored by sony a long time ago and dam, he had the most nicest **** put in his ride.... hes in the military now.
But anyways, I think sony is great if thats ur thing..

I had a sony xplod amp.... it first melted the voice coil on my sub (my fault for sure!) and then it crapped out. Got a new one on warranty and then it blew up my alpine type S sube (was clipping pretty bad... it was the amps fault)... sold the amp right after that and got a Rockford Fosgate amp and a new sub... I would go with alpine or pioneer in my opinion...

Its not that I don't agree with you, the last decent amp they put out was the Punch 200-800 a2 (I don't know how to get the 2 small and above you know squared) when they went with more of a triangle design of course those were the follow up to the Punch 200 DSM line wich was there best (IMO) They say the 25 to life line is a tribute or aniversery edition of those amps (punch 40/60/100/200)but I haven't herd one go yet, I'd like to though.
Sony used to make good quality **** back when. The XM 2000R was a good amp, they just decided to go with the mass produced image when they brought out the xploid line, I blame sony and the xploid line for the fall of cheater amps everywhere (lol) No Actually I blame people who don't do thier research and care more about numbers than quality.
