Thumbs up Clean Install, That's How It's Done!!!

Nice job man! I did my entire floor with Dynamat xtreme and I used Fatmat in my trunk and door panels. The more sound damping material the better! It really tightens up the bass and improves overall volume and sound quality. I also put 5/8" MDF on my trunk floor to help improve bass impact and reduce exhaust noise inside the car. I used blocks of MDF to raise the board up so I could run my power wires underneath. The less wiring you see, the cleaner the install looks! I drove the car for a week with the board in place before I completed my system and I noticed it was a lot quieter inside the cabin. I have about 4 layers of Dynamat xtreme under the carpeting on the inside of the trunk lid (6 in one spot!) to reduce panel flex and improve the bass impact of my single JL 10W6 in JL's patented high output box. I started off with 2 layers but could still feel the lid raise up when the sub was cranked, so I added 2 more. There was a noticeable improvement after I added the second 2 layers. The struts that hold the trunk lid up still work well even with the added weight. I need to take some pics already! Since I started this thread I should probably step up and show what I've got! I'll clean my car tomorrow and take some pictures. Keep 'em coming!
