speaker terminals
speaker terminals
silly question but here we go
basic question are speaker terminal cups one way or not?
heres something to better (hopefully better) to explain it

my setup 1500 watt mono amp (1500 watts at 2 ohms)
according to the setup from crutchfield this is how i would wire to dual voice coil 2 ohm subwoofers to be running at two ohms
problem, the box i have is a dual box enclosure with two sealed off sections, so i was like why not put a speaker terminal in the middle and caulk it to keep it sealed off (that way i don't drill a hole and have problems with sound transferring over)
so here we go with the question
positive "+"
1) positive wire from amp into "+" of sub 1 side
2) ran to sub 1 "+"
3) then over through the speaker terminal in the middle of box "+" to sub 2 positive
negative "-"
1) negative wire from amp into "-" of sub 1 side
2) ran to sub 1 "-"
3) then over through the speaker terminal in the middle of box "-" to sub 2 negative
bridged "+" & "-"
1) other pos/neg on both subs ran to eachother
now from physics i know that the flow of electricity is positive to negative as we see it, but truly it is negative to positive, either way you see it, the speaker terminal will be passing current through both sides (by both sides i mean the gold plated (show side) and the "inside the box" side, so will my setup work fine or will i have problems?

So you wanted to run in series, but couldn't wire the subs directly together due to the box and used the termials as a go betwwen, right?
Without checking the page on series wiring it sounds right to me, the terminqals shouldn't be one way there juat wires that carry current , did it work ?
Shows a pic of the box at the back where the terminals are, just for visual refernce, your explaination is a little confusing, either that or my ADD won't let me pay attention for long enough to read the whole thing
