SS pioneer sub on base model

well i got a SS sub w/pigtail from a LSJ @ the local meet, its a 2channel from what i could tell, no how many watts should i put to this thing? i know its a stock sub and prob wont need a lot, im not a big sound guy, just wanted some bass :p so i dont want t pay for a badass amp when i dont really need one, would i be ok using a 2channel 250watts amp? i do have a aftermarket deck so i wont be ghetto and run of rear speakers or anything...

already installed, bolted down using stock SS studs and bolts, just need a amp to wire it all in

ps- im a performance guy, when it comes to audio, its not my area of expertise
