Stock audio system, driver side door/tweeter No music

I just bought my 07 ss/sc a week ago and the drivers side door speaker and tweeter don't work, but when I start the car I usually just get static for a few seconds then they go silent untill I start the car again, I pulled the door panel and tested the door speaker in the trunk 6x9 spot and worked fine so its something to do with the connector or wiring, It had the stock head unit and speakers are all stock any idea or things to test or try. Thanks for the help guys
I also just tried cutting the wires to see if it was a bad connector and it want I read the same voltage at the connector as I did on the bare wires

Mine just started to do the exact same thing. I haven't been able to test the speaker itself yet. I was hoping it was just a bad speaker or connection.

So recently the static has been staying on as I drive and when I hit the Audi mute the static goes away but then fades back in a few seconds later. Any ideas guys?

This afternoon all it did was make static noise then on the way to work it made a little static noise and on my way home I didn't hardly notice it at all. I really don't wanna pay a stereo shop to track down this problem and rape my wallet in the process. Especially if I can track it down my self.

not really depends on ur skill level thou. check the speaker connections to ensure they arent cut, grounding out ect ect

if u have an amp (stock pioneer) remember theres that as well and lasly check door jam plug bullshit mainly look to see if theres anything odd or out of place without a Multi meter its hard to know visually

me being pretty handy with cars would probably be trying to diagnose this myself if it were happening to my car. although electrical is definitely not my stong suit, i personally would probably being with looking for wire damage from mice or that sorta thing. you pretty much ruled out the speakers being bad. so like other people said, it can basically be anything from the speakers on. i hope u figure out this problem man. cars can be a real headache and i hope that this problem isnt to big of one for u

so the amp runs the wires to the door and tweeter through the rubber grommet in the door right, so if there is a problem it should be between the door and the amp, how easy is the amp and the wires to access, will i have to unbolt the amp and do the wires just clip in with a connector like they do to the speakers themselves ? i searched and found a pic and location of the amp, so you think the best bet would be to trace the wires to the speaker and then so what i find and report back. sorry for the 20 questions.

i removed the amp so no i have access to the connectors coming from the head unit, but im not sure which ones are sending the sound to the amp or which connector that the amp is sending the sounds out to the speakers, i have a multi meter and i will be testing all the pins and connectors to see if anything is noticeably different what should i be reading, volts, ohms?

ok so i got the amp out and have a few questions about the inputs and outputs, are all the inputs from the HU on the small 16pin connector and all the outputs from the amp to the speakers on the larger 16 pin connector and sub outs and power in are on the 8 pin connector correct? and im lost on where the door speaker and tweeters are getting there power from ( do they splice off the same 2 wires from the amp? or do they come from the HU directly)

from the HU theres only 1 set of wires. so a total of 8 for all 4 inputs into the amp. there should be 16 outputs from the amp
