stock remote wire on pioneer 7 system?

Hey, I've been searching for over an hour now to no avail.

The SS s/c has the pioneer 7-speaker setup with the sub and i'm about to drop 2 12's in the truck but I wanted to know about a factory remote wire or if i will have to sun my own to the fuse block. it seems to me being factory amplified, there should be a wire somewhere.

Ideas?

Use the fuse box. Theres a spare fuse connection right above sunroof fuse (which has RAP), you can plug in a half metal connector (use the left side) make sure you have an inline fuse on the connection though because connecting directly in wont be fused.

leave the stock battery. you dont need to get a new battery, im runing a 1200wx1 and an 900x4 in my car on the stock battery. you may want to invest in a cap tho.

DO NOT use the ignition wires. things go wrong in the cars when you do this. the retained accesory wire is in the passenger kick panel. it will remained powered til the drivers door opens. i dont have the color off thetop of my head but it is there. i am wiring three amps, six speaks and two orion h2s this week when i get the color i will post it.

i didn't. i know a little better than that. i went and got one of those "add-a-circuit" connectors to tap into the sunroof fuse but when i started testing circuits, i foud that there are about 5 open spots that are all switched with the ignition. i didn't want RAP, but i did want it switched so i found one that says on the fuse box lid that it can handle 20a and used that circuit with a 5a fuse (just to cover my @$$)

Thumbs up

Well, I don't know if it is specific to 06's or not, but I tried tapping in a remote wire to the spares and also the sunroof. On my 07 not one of them has power, whether it be ignition on, or run. I had the circuit tester out and everything and the only one that seemed to have the power I wanted, as far as being appropriate for a remote wire was the steering wheel info centre. Or rather the controls for the information centre. So I tapped into that and everything is working right. Just a lil more tuning with the amp, and seal that damn port on the box, and everything will be gravy.
