Sub Box

I have a memphis sub in my stock sub box and it rattles like hell. Is in a smart idea to insulate the box so it doenst rattle? I was thinking dynomat or i evn heard house insulation works.

the box itself rattles? are you sure its not the bolts the box is attached by? (or anything else for that matter)

reason why i ask is because while dynomat or whatever sound dampnener you want sounds like a good idea to fix a rattling box but it will make the box essentially smaller for your sub and theres a good chance its already too small. Anyway id make sure it was 100% the box before starting any type of sound dampening. and you might get the best results with a liquid type product such as second skin spectrum spray
