sub enclosure question

i found these subs/amp and enclosure at a garage sale, 10$, so i figured i couldn't pass it up. I figured out what the amp was , a Memphis PBC200, and the subs just say "PUNCH HE". I looked on the Rockford Fosgate website and none of the subs looked like these... so i am not sure what they are.

My question is should this sub enclosure be enough for these subs? I had it runnign but the subs were pumping but it wasnt very powerful at all... Im running the stock stereo and i followed the How-To on installing a sub on the stock Head unit. with a line converter and all that.

And also will the amp and subs work well together?

might just be the amp needs tuning... member you can only get so much out of your stock head unit... then again it all comes down to Watts...

yea those are the old model of rockford fosgate punch stage1 or 2, not sure which one. but they are the old punch series. they are only like 150rms though so you aren't gonna get much out of them. still good for a sound quality setup though.

yeah making it ported would help out the "fullness" so to speak of the bass. but it hurts your sound quality.

i think its the amp thats bringing it down... and also the box they are in is TINY compared to what it suggests in the manual. Anyone know of a good how to on building a box?

tha amp is only rated at 50 x 2 rms... so if i wanted more PUNCH should i get a bigger amp and then make a ported box?

Never mind..... figured out it is the amp.... i took one of the subs out to see the model number. the box is 2 seperate compartments. completely sealed from eachother. the amp is only 200 watts and the speakers are 400 watt max... so yea its the amp.... what do you ppl recommend for an amp for these? the model number is RFP3410.

thank you

whatever gets u 400ws... i have a 300w fosgate (will give u a little under 400w i believe 344 to be exact) or 800w fosgate im selling. They will be posted up on ebay soon unless u want them. im looking for 100 or 200. depending on what u wanted to get u could get my 800w 4 chan and run 400 to the subs and amp ur mids, or get the 2 chan and only use half the amp

Those subs are 200w RMS
The Amp will put 160w (give or take) into each
So the answer to your question is yes the amp should power them nicely
Plus for $100 you can't go wrong!

Oh and replacing the box would do you quite a bit as well.
