Thought I'd share my photos

These are pictures of the reciever I had installed, also an image of the blue led that was installed for the car alarm. The images are rather large, sorry. Not about to brag that my car is the best. I just wanted to share.

That's nice man, where did you get that installed? Did they say it was hard to install? How much was it for the reciever and the install?

I got it done at a shop in town called A & S Installation or asinstallation.com The reciever I bought somewhere else, they installed it for 37 bucks and took maybe an hour.

The alarm was about almost 400. I had aculators put in the doors at 60 bucks a piece, was 70 but they took 10 off of each door because I was getting some other stuff done. I think I didn't pay much labor if any at all. The alarm and aculators took all day from like 11am to 5pm. They also tinted my windows for 210, all 7 windows with 20% all the way around. And that only took 2 hours and he did an awesome job.

They have two shops in the Northeast area of pa and been around I think 17 years.

The unit is a Jensen VM9510. I been hearing some things and I know you get what you pay for. So far it hasn't given me any problems and I actually like it more in my car then when I saw it at the store.

I saw a Pioneer dvd/cd player with a 7 inch screen for about 200 more dollars. Wish I would have waited but we will see how long this holds up.

I am in the process of pricing other speakers and subs and some other toys. Im really looking to put lcds in the headrests.

I also want to put a radar in my girll but the one I liked was about 1k. I doubt I will do that.

I also saw the super charger kit(dont know much about peformance) for 3.5k but not sure how that would work on my base cobalt. Don't want to damage anything ya know?

I think it depends on the model of the cobalt. I had no problem w/ installing mine.. I have the base model.

I think you need the harness for the ion, I forget what the shop used on mine

I have the SS/SC 2005 model. I was told that with all new gm cars after 2003 that if u remove the radio, it could mess up the airbag and power windows. Any truth to this?
