trick my srs?
trick my srs?
i have an aftermarket steering wheel and would rather just trick the srs system to think my airbag is there. anyone got any ideas? i've been sifting through dealer world and nothing useful is catching my eye. seems honda has a 2.2 ohm resistor that works on hondas, but im afraid if i try anything the system might freak and deploy my airbags lol.
check the pin-outs on gm dealerworld. it also has to have testing procedures just in case there is an air bag code. just need to find the amount of voltage the system requires so it doesn't throw a code. sub'd because i have been wanting to do a nardi wheel for awhile
yeah it's the deep dish suede. i got an nrg quick release didnt realize i have to buy the short hub to actually install the ****. another 120 bucks plus shipping. itll have cost me 500 bucks after all this. BUT IT'S SO BALLER LOL
indeed it is. after i get the car running on boost i am gonna do harness bar with harness' and a nardi wheel with quick release. be sure to post pics when you get it on. should look badass
i actually showed you that exact steering wheel and you said you didn't like it.

When the ignition is turned ON, the instrument panel cluster (IPC) flashes the AIR BAG indicator 7 times. The inflatable restraint sensing and diagnostic module (SDM) performs diagnostic tests on the SIR system and then commands the IPC to turn the AIR BAG indicator OFF if no SIR malfunction exists. The AIR BAG indicator is controlled by the SDM via serial data communications. If the ignition 1 voltage is outside of the normal operating voltage range 9-16 volts, the SDM will command the IPC to turn the AIR BAG indicator ON with no DTCs present then disables all deployment loops.
onto something here. so maybe if i give ignition 1 a 12 volt it'll think the airbag is there. **** i hope this works.
