usb hookup help please

ok so I got my h/u installed today. I had the guy run a cable into my glove box so I can hookup my zune to the h/u (pioneer deh-6000) anyway, apparently the zune isn't compatible with it. what's the easiest way to get into the dash to swap out the cable with something that is compatible (external hard drive, etc.) I'd really like to use this feature but I don't feel like ripping everything apart. or does anyone have any other suggestions?

thanks

nah I thought it was fat32 but it's not so it's not mass storage compliant. the problem is is that the accesible end is a male end specifically for a zune. i just don't feel like tearing it apart. I'm lazy

There are two inputs for MP3 players on that model, one is a USB plug right in the back of the deck and the other looks like a rca style one, just get one of those 3.5mm to rca adapters. In any case you still have to yank the deck out, its not hard though, only takes 10 mins.
If your going to go with a external hard drive you might have a problem if you get one too big, most HU only take up to 10gb, anything bigger than that and the seek time is too high. Flash drives are the way to go IMO, this time run the USB cable to the pocket where the trunk release is on the drivers side, this way you dont have to lean across the car to change the drives, better to keep your eyes on the road , or at least stay in your seat
