A/V Splitter?

hey i was wondering if anyone has found an a/v splitter that works with the indash units? my f90bt only has one set of a/v cables and im looking to split those into 2 sets so i can have one set for my ipod and one set for a ps3. i saw on ebay theres like box splitters but u have to manually switch between the inputs. is there something that just splits the one a/v rca set into 2 so that the unit can just pick up on either input depending on what you have on and select on the screen?

im sure sumone knows what im talking about. if this has already been asked just point me in the right direction. thanks.

there's the normal y splitters but that probably wouldn't work too well... does the ps3 have an input you may have to run the ipod thru the ps3 then the ps3 into the f90bt

also check to see if they make a pbus cable thats either the a/v rca or ipod with video

well im not sure if youve seen the back of the f90 but i basically have 3 female rca (yellow, red, white) that come out of the unit along with a female usb. right now the ipod adapter that came with the unit plugs into the bottom of the ipod and then splits....into a male usb and 3 male rca (yellow, red, white). so right now the ipod takes up the usb and only a/v rca's the unit has. so i wanted to split the only rca's the unit has....caz the playstation needs a set of female rca's (yellow, red, white) to plug into. im sure you knew alot of that tho. why wont y splitters work? and whats a pbus cable? that sounds like it might work. sorry im kinda learning as i go.

Y-splitters will work if you get the right configuration going on.......i have y-splitters hooked into my sony indash and they work just fine....one set goes to my 10 disk DVD changer and the other goes to my laptop when i use it for whatever......You WON'T be able to select on the screen which one to use, you just have to have the headunit set to aux. in and it will pick up the feed from either one........only thing you will find with y-slpitters is that you CAN'T have both the ps3 and the ipod powered on at the same time because you will get feedback and the audio will sound like ****.....just make sure you only power one of them at a time and you will be fine.....Later

hmm ok i only planned on having one at a time anyway obviously. my unit does have 2 aux settings too in case that matters. right now aux 1 is set to ipod. aux 2 is blank at the moment. can someone point me in the right direction as far as splitters go? didnt find what i thought they would like on ebay or best buy. i mean i obviously need a single male end that splits into 2 female ends....but will the splitter for the video need to be different from the audio splitters? appreciate the help guys.

nope same **** as far as spitters go. video normally needs a better quality cable over audio to prevent noise (lines on the screen ect) but they dont make "video" specific y splitters so

aux 1 should be the 35mm headphone jack in the back with aux 2 the rcas

well do you watch videos on the ipod. if not you can get the normal pbus to ipod adapter and call it a day. that would be a much better option over y spiltters
