want more bass
want more bass
I dont like the fact that on my stock stereo (minus indash deck) i cannot control the sub and speakers seperatly. I would like to turn the bass completely off my speakers and just have bass on my sub. So is it worth it to run a seperate AMP to my stock sub? would i be able to get more out of the sub. I just dont want to buy a new one and if i did HAVE to buy a new one it would be a 12in with a box but i like my trunk room. So main question is how much more can i get out of my stock sub with a external amp?
and just curious what is stock RMS watt and ohm on stock sub?

not really... x2... do it.... ya you can get a little but if your asking for more bass and are spending money on it then it wont satisfy you i promise. when you say i want a little more bass that means you want alot of bass. to hear a real noticeable difference it has to be double the volume (SPL) and you wont get that with the stock sub in the stock box off anything ever. it will get slightly louder but i wouldn't pay more then 5 bucks for the slight difference
stock sub is ~100rms dual 2 ohm

damn, than what about p3 shallow mount in stock encloser vs's Alpine Type R in ported box. Would be running 360 watts RMS AMP
