What could be the problem?

Hi, I recently bought a 2006 cobalt ls, and I LOVE IT! I recently had the clutch replaced and now I have another problem. This only happens once in a while... maybe once/twice a week but is becoming more often... sometimes when I turn the key, all of the electronics come on... dash lights, radio, cigarette lighters, etc... but it doesn't turn over. As a matter of fact, it doesn't make any noise. I can hear the fuel pump but that's it. No clicking ticking or anything. It's not the starter because it starts 70% of the time. I'm getting frustrated bc I can't count on my car to start half the time. What could be the problem??

I'm going to assume they roll start it.

It could be a number of things, start with getting the battery and alternator tested. If those check out good, then check the bolts in the fuse box and make sure they're tight (30-40ft/lbs). After that it's grounds and starter.

Ok thanks... I'm not a HUGE car guru, so where would the bolts in the fuse box? Thanks again for the help.

Well that's what's weird... if I just wait it'll usually start... sometimes I have to just jam the key in and out and other times it'll start right up after 2-20 mins... it's really weird. I bought it might be a clutch position sensor so I'm going to try and pick one of those up.

Pop the cover off the underhood fuses, you'll see the bolt heads I'm talking about. I forget how many there are.
