Thumbs down what the h*ll?

ok so my stereo and speakers are all stock and yesterday i was on my way home from work and all my speakers shut off. Then i smelt something burning and then smoke came from under the cowl on the driverside. i know its my factory amp that took a ****. so i go to the local gm dealership this morning and the service manager tells me he refuses to work on my car because my car is modded. i flipped ****!! i told him this is the whole reason i bought a 20,000$ car is for the warranty. i told him he was going to fix my car for no charge because of my warranty. he still refused. so i told him "**** off then i dont want any retards that dont know what there doing work on my car anyways" and he threatend to call the cops on me. What the hell doesnt every gm dealership have to work on my car if it is under warranty?

they have the right to refuse to fix it if they have good reason that the problem was caused by your aftermarket parts. just go to a different dealership..

yes but certain parts of your warranty can be voided due to modifications. do you have anything electrical that is modded. if no then i would take it to another dealership because the modification has to directly cause the malfunction of the part in question all warranties go by this its the law.

Magnuson-Moss act states that the warranty must be honored by the dealership unless it is proven that the modifications by the owner caused the issue.

dont be an ******* though. Keep in mind, threatening to throw a lawsuit at their asses isn't gonna scare the people working there because they wont be the ones in court, the owner will. Be nice, and just prove to them that you know they have to replace it under warranty.
