They also make the kicker comp Vr sub which is a circle. They sell them for like 50 bucks. They hit nice also. I know a guy who had 4 of them in his car.

the 10" mtx was around $130. im not sure if they make it in the 8". but these have a really strong cone. so they have very little distortion. i would reccomend them.

How much were you looking to spend?

You could get some decent cerwin-vegas the HED 8.x series for around $100

Critical Mass ss82 $140 (my personal favorite, I love this company)

Digital designs dd1008 --don't have a price for these-- (never heard these but the company generally makes good things)

Focal makes 2 8" subs... 21v2 $300 and the 21 WX $1,190 (They both sound nice but over priced for an 8" sub. You will go no distorytion and will be able to feed them around 300W RMS)

JL makes a bunch the w0's are around $100 and the w7's are like $350 (the w0's are going to be just as good as the w7 for what you want. The w7 will get louder but the w0 will stay just as clear with alot less power needed 75W vs 300W RMS)

The only other ones I would recommend are the polk Momo's mm208 or mm208DVC both are around $110. If I remember these correctly you will need to give them the power they want and not cheap them out if you want to get a good sound out of it.

Any of them will probably be just as good as any other with a clean power source and a nice small sealed box.

cheap 8 inch subs? tang bang, no you wont have any bragging rights like if you got some jl's but these sound real real nice and can also get loud and not get muddy. but if your not looking to be bumping around i would get a nice set of componet speakers, infinity refrences, are the nicest i think but polk makes some tough good quality stuff

I bought mine from Digitial Audio in Oceanside Cali. But you just have to look for a registered JL audio dealer. you can't find them in bestbuy or nothing like that.

There is a company on ebay that stands behind there W7's. They warranty them just fine. Ask me how i know. I blew all three of mine and they replaced them. Only problems is you have to pay the shipping back but on the other hand your getting them for 230 compared to 400 (which was quoted at my local store). Since then i ditched the 8w7's.
