Where to get antenna cable?

Does anyone know where I can get an antenna cable that connects to the antenna in the trunk at the antenna itself? I have installed a car computer in the trunk, and the HD radio receiver is in the trunk, so I need to un-install the factory antenna cable and plug in another cable to connect between the antenna itself and the receiver. I have looked everywhere but have not found one. Even if I can get a replacement antenna cable I can get an adapter that will allow me to plug into the receiver. I can unplug the cable from the antenna, so I just need a replacement cable that plugs int the antenna.

I would just leave the factory antenna alone and get a separate inboard amplified antenna and mount it in the back glass is should run you about 60-70 dollars

Sound like you got a good idea here. I would go down to any shop that installs car stereos... they should have something.

i wouldn't say any shop has them but they probably will. Um check out best buy as well. they will have some short ones and the long ass ones.

but they are made in quite a few sizes so you may need to special order one if you want something mid length

why? how many people honestly need an antenna extension of any sort? id think less then 1% because i've only needed one on one car (relocated the deck) a few a short one would have been nice but wasn't necessary. so 2 years of installing we'll say one a day minimum with 6 or so max. Total installs: 846 min 5148 max 2592 mean and ive only needed one so thats what 0.03%

Well I dont know what kind of cars you work on, but we work on some old schools, caprices, to mostly BMW, ferraris, all the higherend items. Most of the higher end cars have tunerpacs in the trunk, in turn needing to run an extension back up to the front of the car... Same with just a standard for taurus... tuner pac, in the trunk...

Did you actually get a cable that plugs into the antenna at Best Buy? I went there and they did not have one. The antenna end of the cable is not a normal antennal plug that you get off the shelf. Installers have lots of "standard" cables that adapts the radio end of the antenna for stereos, but don't seem to have a "replacement" cable. My car dealer can order a replacement cable that should plug right into the antenna but I am a little impatient
