who has 2 12's in the trunk?

ok i have 2 12" kicker comps, i need a box that can be easily removed from the trunk for when i race... anyone have dimensions for a box?

Also im not sure how good it is to run them in a smaller box then is needed.

any suggestions?

BTW i will be running 300rms to each...

To me you need one or the other. If you want quality sound the box need's to be dimension specific to the subs or "tuned" for the subs. If you want **** for sound then I would go with 2 single box enclosures as this will provide easy removing. I had 2 12" rockfords in my cobalt and a pretty decent sized box and I can tell you a big box can be taken out easily with some wiggling through the small ass trunk opening. If you remove your back seats, like i had mine, then that makes it even easier

ok so i need 1.25 cuft per driver and that includes driver displacement. It will be a sealed uint, so im thinking h14" w17" L31" after the 3/4' mdf that should be 2.4953 cu ft

sound right?

yup. you can go ahead and put them in a smaller box if its more convenient for you but a smaller box wont be as loud. you can probably drop it down to 1cu per sub and be fine thou if you wanted. also try making it so you can pull the box out of the trunk opening and it will be easier to remove
