Whole new audio setup

I am looking for a whole new setup.... including speakers(front and back) and head unit.... i am on a limited budget. I have never installed any car audio but i have read alot about it. I was looking for some brands/models that are good for the price. I have an 06 LT. I also have 2 10 inch subs and the amp that i would like to put in it too.

and also what do i need other than the speakers and the head unit... ive heard about somehting called a LAN 03 or what ever. but thats for 07s do i need a wiring harness?

sorry i wrote this really quick and may have sounded dumb but yea... i havent found any complete answers.

THANX

Okay, first of all I need to know your budget so I can suggest what to get. Second, it would help if I knew what amp and subs you already had so I knew what h/u to pair them with.

ok i have a $1500 budget(thats the very max). sorry I wrote my last message in like 10 seconds because i wanted to leave work. haha. but im not sure which subs/amps i have . they are at my dads house at the moment. I know they are 10 inch and the amp is 1000 watts peak. the amp has a right and a Left channel; RCA input.

For a headunit I've heard good things about the Clarion DFZ675MC. It is a double-DIN unit, so it will plop right in your dash and is loaded with features for just $275.

For speakers I suggest Pioneer TS-D161Rs, these are reasonably priced at $85 a piece and are definitely worth the money. Four of those will set you back about $340.

Altogether that is $615 which leaves you some space for maybe a seperate 4-channel amp, a capacitor, or something along those lines.

If you want Alpine, which I like a lot, I would go with the Type-R series.
