So car-audio theft is a big issue in my area. Had my car broke into twice just because it looks nice, so I have since rented a garage (Apartment living).

To my question though. I am running a PPI Sedona 430ix for a 4 channel amp. I want to run 2 6.5" components on the rear deck as well as two 4" or 6" mid-bass drivers (Basically to replace subs). I plan on running 6.5" in the front doors and am purchasing another 2 channel amp for those.

I plan on dynamatting the deck lid, but I wanted to know if there is enough room that I can dremel out for the 2 center mid-bass speakers.

Anybody else already done this?

 

anyone ever done it not that i know of but i belive theres enough room for 4 6.5 drivers. What are u currently looking into speaker wise?

 

I sort of changed plans. I am most likely going to run 4 sets of Rainbow Compenents (6.5") and then the rear deck lid is going to be two 6.5" JL W3s .

They only have a 4.5" mounting depth. Easily able to build a box that seals into the rear deck and supported by bolts from the rear deck.

Full insulation will be laid on the trunk and rear deck lid to quite vibrations.

I want more of a sound quality setup. I was young once and hearing loss was directly linked to the days i was young and dumb.

 

What did you say?! I can barely read because I sat too close to the computer monitor jacking to **** when I was young. The internet was a different place back then, and picture quality was leaving something to be desired.

When i was in high school i ran with the loud crowd. 2 15" Kicker L5's in a ported box. (Box was around 4.5 cu Ft). My dad said he could hear me coming from like 3.5 4 blocks away.
