XM controll module

I went in and talked to an audio guy when I changed out my head unit and he said that I should be able to use the xm antena if I can find the brain. Does anyone know where it is and if tihs is true? I want sirius but dont want 2 different antenas.

I'm trying to get mine out, don't need another one. I am actually going to be putting in Sirius because XM sucks.
