You SS guys can have your Pioneer system, my LT has Bose!
First off I'm not hating on the Pioneer system at all, I just figured it'd be a good way to get people's attention to see my new additions for the Balt's sound system. The speakers came out of my step mom's Infinity that got trashed by the tornado's are gonna be added to my factory system. I already have the Bose door speakers installed, but I'll have to remove a door panel cause I forgot to take pics, unfortunately the rear deck speakers got trashed, but I also have the sub, which should be installed this week or next. Here's a pic of the sub it's the weirdest sub I've ever seen but it sounds amazing....
Wish I had a way of recording good sound quality to let you guys hear how this sounds, let me know what you think!

Hell I don't really care if Bose is overpriced really cause this was all free to me, lol. But the sound quality difference from stock is astounding to me at least, everyone has their own opinions of things and that's fine with me, just figured I'd share something I got for free

This.....they basically design the system around the acoustic properties of a specific car's cabin. It'll sound good, but in all reality, it's very cheap materials that go into the speakers, and any audiophile knows that the driver is always the weakest link in a system. However, I'm glad OP is happy and shared something with us that he did differently, regardless if some sandy vagina tried to put him down for no reason.

In your opinion, but completely disprovable. Perhaps not the best for competition in bass blurbs or SQ but there are a number of vehicles out there with some pretty good setups. Like Infinity, if those are out of the G37 then I know it'll sound dope for most everyday people.
Jaguar and BMW are two other manufacturers which usually, these days, do a good job stock.
Of course comparing any of those to my system, or EmpJJ's system, would result in a win for either of us....but we've spent absurd amounts of money for marginal gains(after a certain point, it's not cost effective to seek anything more).
Price does usually indicate the strength of a brand. As Emp points out, Bose does lots of R&D....which means they do a lot of work for other manufacturers to make their stuff better. Boss may not be the loudest or the clearest, but when you buy a Boss you know your going to get GOOD sound. That's what most people want.
The stock deck on the Cobalt isn't THAT bad. It's rather good for a stock deck. Enjoy it! When you go for another deck, buy a good one. A good deck can make all the difference in the world and you may not end up wanting to spend anything more.
Word.

Secondly, even if I wasnt joking, you couldnt disprove my opinion on this. You could only disagree with it And, that's why at the end of that post I said "IMO"
Lastly, as far as spending lots of money for marginal gains, I think you mean within reason/practicality. Unless your back seat is full of subs, your doors are full of mids/tweets, and your trunks is full of batteries and amps, you havent reached the peak yet son. If you keep spending $ putting different speakers in the same old places instead of adding, your wasting money after you've hit that certain point you were referring to.
