it sounds awesome with the new exhaust, it's got a lot more pickup now also.

the cat is soo big it hits the swaybar sometimes, so I've gotta get that fixed still but thats the only problem we had, otherwise it's a direct bolt on!

Wow... looks like the SS exhaust is just about as good as a performance cat-back for you guys.

It's not a catback system bro, it's the whole thing,

Manifold, Downpipe, Cat, All needed piping and Muffler.

Its like a whole new animal. and so far no codes!

I am confused, why would you need a downpipe?

Well I guess technically it's not a downpipe, but I mean the pipe that conects the cat to the manifold and the rest of the exhaust.

You know what I mean.

It doesn't use headers. It's a manifold. And yes Hack, it bolted right up without a hitch.

I will take some more side shots of the car today.

I didn't do the work myself. I had Powell motorsport do it. The guys who built the time attack cobalt. Yes they removed the bumpstops and no the exhaust didn't have to be cut.

The only cutting required was the tip on the SS muffler because it hung kinda low so they cut it off and welded it back on in a higher position.

What I meant was: If the SS/SC Manifold fits, shouldnt the SS/SC headers fit too??

If so, I can buy a header and full downpipe wicked easy instead of having one made

And finally the other race Cobalt.

Technically it should fit just fine. As long as the Cat is not larger then the stock SS one it will be fine, because the SS cat just barely fits on my car.

I'm bumping this because I keep getting PM's from people Wondering about the exhaust. It's all here folks.

It bolts directly up to the car with no trouble. The CAT is larger than the old one so you need to keep it pushed up tight against the manifold so it doesn't rattle on the front sway bar.

Yes the SS CAT back systems will work on our cars and yes it should fit also.
