I know I am pretty pumped.

The Recaro's are "not available" for the 2007 as an option, but they can still get the seats depending on availability through dealer special order.

the dealer is going to find out if he can get them for me...if not I will have the red insert seats...which are not power seat...I was kinda confused over the seat issue myself but said screw it and left it in able hands.

Guess I will have to wait a couple days to see what I get?

Thanks Guys!!!!!!!

Good news! Hope you get those Recaros, I wish I did. I mean I like the leather seats but the plastic surrounding them is very cheap. Appearantly the recaros are very nice if you have a slender build. So are yo9u planning on modding it? I went all out GM parts, im very happy with them.

Keep us updated!

Well, They couldn't get the "recaros", then they said they couldn't get a stage 2 kit on it...so I told them I didn't want it.

I had them get me a brand new (no miles, never titled) 2006 model that had the recaros and LSD. Plus it was 1500.00 cheaper than the 07. So I had them get the stage 2 kit for it with the money I saved

SWEEEEEEET!!

Where can I get a good set of black taillights? Anyone?

How do these cars compare to the SRT-4's?

Thanks!

I think an '06 in your case is the better way to go. You get it cheaper because the '07s are out, they '07 steering wheel is different, I like the 06 better in my personal opinion, the wheels have a lip on the 07's, again, I like the 06s - my opinion. The radio is also different in the 07s, i like the 06 better but you do not get a ipod hook up. I dont own a ipod, so I think i lucked out with my 06. They do have the stage 2 for a 07 i believe, but they are working on the reflash for it. You will LOVE the stage 2 once you get it. It really makes the car come alive!

Stock for stock the srt-4 wins. Their like a 14.1 to our 14.6 app. Put an exhaust and intake and you can beat it. Stage 2 hands down beats a stock one. Stage 3 srt-4 kicks all of our asses, atm.

Yea, a new '06 isn't a bad pick up. You'll be happy with it, and even hapier after Stage 2! So what other mods do you have planned??

GREAT INFO GUYS THANKS AGAIN!

I am picking it up this friday (20th) at 5:00pm...can't wait.

I am getting the stage 2 kit installed after my break in period (about 1,000 miles)...they said $1000.00 installed which is a really good price in my opinion. They are one of only 3 Certified GM Performance parts dealers and installers in Wisconsin so it works out great that I am getting my car there.

As far as other mods, I was going to Order the AEM Cold Air Intake, Eibach lowering springs, Strut tower Brace. That is about it for now...especially after spending the money on the St2 kit..(plus I am going to hawaii for 12 days in Feb ).

After the above, maybe during summer sometime..I will get a header, cat delete, exhaust, and engine torque dampner put on and then bring it down to my buddies at New Era Performance and have them dyno tune the whole shebang (I only live 4 hours from New Era Performance)...

Thats the plan for now. You guys have any thoughts on the mods in that order? Suggestions? Thanks!

Are you having the Stage 2 financed into the deal or paying for it seperately? If you are having it financed in you might as well see if they could do the same for the GMPP Cat-Back and GMPP Exhaust Manifold. The Ingalls Stiffy would probably be my first mod if I were buying one.

BTW: Niiice!

hahaha nice! Thirteen miles is the standard I think, for a new car...the dealer has to do a "check" on the car after recieving it in which they put like 10 miles on it...but yeah...yours was Brand spankin' new too huh! sweet.

I am actually just paying the grand out of pocket..why do you guys think that having them do the exhaust is a good thing too? How much do they charge for that? I was thinking pacesetter? They are cheap and good...had them on 2 of my LS1's.

thoughts?

Congrats on the new Cobalt. Enjoy your ride.
As for black tails I believe those that have them just used "Night Shade" spray bombs to paint theirs.

I'd go for the GMPP exhaust... good system... good sound... good price.

As far as the black-out tail lights... you'll have to tint them yourself using nightshades.
