My Intake? Like, the Intake Tube leading into the Turbo? I don't have one. I've got a Strong Mesh Screen in place right now. My current Turbo doesn't allow for any kind of intake tube and/or filter.

This is without the screen... but you can see how there are things in the way... like the water pump. If you laid under the car and looked, you would thoroughly understand that it was the ONLY option. Once the S256 gets put on, I'm hoping that will change... it is a much more compact Turbo, as far as the CHRA is concerned.

EDIT: I don't run the FKN turbo on the road like this! I took this picture right after bolting the turbo onto the car. There is a wire mesh screen covering the intake now.

Are you serious?

They banned the Powell RaceShop Logo/website? A Cobalt website banned the logo of the shop that has single handedly created the most performance parts for the Cobalt? What fkn sense does that make?

Meh, its no big deal. Dust and **** will always get in. As long as nothing large gets in that could potentially harm the engine, its no big deal.

Its pretty easy actually. Don't route your piping through that hole.

Then you won't have to take out the Windshield Washer Fluid.

No, it'll most likely INCREASE your air flow. And you'll probably hear it spooling a lot louder.

I gotta promote Longhorn Racing as much as I can.

Besides its how I'm known around here. Hell, it was real bad back in like 07 and 08.

"Don't race the Longhorn Cobalt. He'll whoop your ass."

I used to hear all sorts of rumors about my car. I used to have a video of me trying to coerce some WRX owner into racing my "stock" Cobalt. I was speaking from the 3rd person too, saying how the owner was a bonehead and he thought his car was real fast, and someone needed to shut him up. It was good. Especially when he backed out because he saw the Longhorn on the trunk. It used to crack me up... my car wasn't even all that fast either. Well, in my eyes it wasn't.

Well, I suppose yours is higher than mine. My Turbo is down real low since I have the Long Tube Manifold from Vulcan.

I would still think you're increasing your airflow... less restriction.

Just go to Lowe's or Home Depot. They should have some mesh there. The easiest stuff to use is the screen that they use for screen doors, they should have rolls of it there. Its also very small holes... very fine mesh.

I've always loved your car man. Your love for the Longhorns really sets your car off.

But I must chant, SEC SEC SEC! haha

what does your MAF and IDC's look like?

I don't remember anymore.

I do know that the IDC's were right around 80% or so on the 60's (Paul maxed his 60's out at 375whp on his set-up).

I also know that Boostking made 408whp with the exact same turbo on 20psi, although he was an LNF and on a Log Exhaust Manifold and didn't have a Sheetmetal Intake like me. Like I said... we estimated with all the variables that we could.

Once it warms up around here... I'll have her pushing 22psi on my 80's, and I'll get her on a Dyno.

I've got no alternative. There is no way to put anything else on that turbo. The screen is it. I'm hoping that will change with the S256.
