i dont think this car will ever see a SC. if they do go with something it would be the 2.0T in the GXP for 2008. the G5 will be a coupe only here in the US they want have a 4 door as of now..

 

There is 4 door versions of the G5 and G5 gt

 

Everything is the same on both models, but the 07' Cobalt has the silver finish on the interior.

You can order different trim pieces from Pontiac to "spice up your interior" (that's what the website calls it). So basically you could order that carbon for your Cobalt, or any of the other choices (probably the crazy blue or carbon fiber you can get on the Torrent).

nope no 4 door G5s for the US pontaic stoped with the 4 door small cars sunfire in 2002 then from 03-05 only 2 doors i guess there keepng that way.

 

that is sweet, i like the rims, but i think i like the corvette style tail lights a little better, i would order the headlights, but i want to paint the trim black in them

I want that steering wheel...and that shifter. they look so much better than the ones on the Cobie.

 

The 2.4ss has that same shifter. Base models got that all black one.

 

The sales manager at the local dealership told me they will have the sc model in the fall when they plan on getting their first runs at the G5.

 

Yeah, that's mine, it's sorta like a rubber compound or something. The numbers on the shift pattern marking have almost completely worn away already.

 

thats good to know. the dealer that has the G5 here in CT didnt no to much about the car. so they didnt no if the SC one was going to be out or not.

 

I find that the public in general (including dealers) knows absolutely nothing about the 2.4's...

i find out tomorrow whats going to happen the dealer said they are haveing alot of people wanting the 4cyl G6 so hes got to order more of them. and then hes got 3 more normal G5s comeing in

just FYI the G5 Pursuit will be getting the 2.0 Turbo out of the solstice some time in the near future

 

Not in the 2007 model year. If the 2.0 DI turbo does come to the G5, it will also go in the Cobalt as well.

It would cost GM too much money to use the turbo in one and the s/c in the other. It'll be both turbo or both s/c.

 

there is no cost diffrence, they will offer it in the solstice. It's just GM's way of competeing with the entire market. Turbo G5, Supercharger Cobalt. It's not weird for a company to do that. Toyota offers a Turbo Echo in Europe the Vitz RS

 

So will those be FWD or RWD? The way the engine sits in the Solstice is difficult to put in our cars. Like to see it though.

 

How do you figure there is no cost difference? Both cars are built at the same plant on the same assembly line that currently puts 3 different powertrain configurations in. To retool the plant to add another engine and then only put it in the top of the line G5 models would cost GM money.
