All I can say is...... to the clay bar! It took me about 1 hour or so and after I was done each section, I rinsed off the area and the friggin' water just beaded off in a sheet! I'm still looking for the perfect wax/polish to use as what I normally use (liquid glass) is getting seriously hard to find up here in Canada. I wasn't too impressed with Eagle one nanowax but the Meguiars NXT is pretty good. Thanks for the kind words folks

I knew it was only a matter of time before someone asked. I actually have two more in my room that I made. It's an onstar antenna that I had drilled out and re-threaded. Reception is good for all local stations and that's about it, I don't listen to much radio outside of the city, so no loss.

Looks fantastic. Where did you order your springs from if you don't mind me asking?

I got the springs from a buddy of mine at the dealership where I bought my car. They droped the car a little more than an inch in front and about 1.5 in the back. The ride is much more controlled than stock but it hits sharp bumps a little harder, handling and a little les ride comfort it was a no brainer for me.

Very nice, it looks great with the drop but I have one question too...

What were you doing at the 'Foxes Den'?

Ever since I saw yours lowered I've been looking at the pro kit for mine...it's all your damn fault ! I'm thinking the sportlines would be a little much for me not to mention my LS would probably ride like a brick, I just want to fill the wheel gap a little and even the car out.

I was hoping to do everything the "right way" and tell my insurance company but after an "off the record" conversation I found out it would increase my insurance by more than I thought due to throwing the dynamics of the car off. I asked my agent how that's possible when a car with a lower center of gravity should handle better and he said he'd look into it . Try to be honest and they knock you for it so now I need to re-think my decision.

The dropped looked awesome though, really filled the wheel gap nicely and made the black look that much sleeker . I was considering contacting GM about the struts and shocks from the SS if I were to do this conversion to hold me over until the aftermarket picks up in this department a little but I have a feeling it's going to cost me more than I was originally thinking .

I have a set of stock SS springs I may be willing to part with as they are almost identical to pro kits. With sportlines on your car the struts MUST be changes or they'll blow on you.

Will the stock SS springs when put on my LS even out the car or will the backend still be cranked up higher than the front-end like it is right now? I had considered the sportlines but I don't think I quite need a drop to that extreme even though I really like the look of it.

I think even if I were to install the SS springs or pro kit on the car I would still look into stronger struts and shocks just so all my angles are covered and I don't have to be worrying about it at least for the time being. I think I'll definitely be waiting until spring to see if anyone pumps out aftermarket shocks and struts but I think it would make a pretty substantial difference in the appearance of my car without costing me an arm and a leg .

If you still have those springs come spring and you are willing to part with them (and I don't make a random purchase sometime between now and then ) we could decide on a price and I could make the trip up to TO and hell maybe even make a day out of it .

I want an antenna like that. I have a black SS too and let me tell you that tinting (I only did medium) makes it look even sleeker. Lowered/tinted/shorty antenna and maybe some blacked out headlights would be one mean ride.
