If I were going to buy an import (which I won't ), it would definitely be the STi. That thing is SICK. Loved the blue/gold since I first layed eyes on it a few years ago, and I've always liked the look of the car. But then they changed the front end and, well, you know. Still love the rest of the car though.

Yeah man...There's a blue 06 with rims, has that rear window spoiler like you, and it's lowered. I see it everyday. It looks so good omg. It also has exhaust and bov from what I can tell and maybe an intake. That thing is sweet. I wish I had money to buy one. Good luck with it....

SilverSS: Are you really going to buy an sti? Sweet. Finally someone who is upgrading doesn't go to a GTO (but i love gtos too)

The suby is only .3 sec faster in the 1/4 and 0 -60 is the exact same, this is according to motor trend.

Plus the suby doesn't have those gay spikes so I'd go with the STI as well if I had the $57000 cdn

 

Actually the new STI does kind of have those "gay spikes" under the rear of the car. They are called air diffusers and they serve a function.

Performence they are identical. I bought the STI, because the tranny is way stronger then the tranny in the EVOs.

 

You can't go wrong with that lovely flat-4 growl. Very nice car. STI's are definately my second favorite car, right behind the new BMW 335i.

 

those ghey spikes that you speak of are actually functional.

 

I know their functional, but on the evo their right at the rear of the roof to bring air down the back glass, which IMO looks gay. The STI just has the spoiler at the top of the rear glass which looks quite a bit more sleek and does the exact same thing.

i went and built an STI on the Subaru web site just for ***** and giggles and you actually don't have to get the air diffusers, they're optional.

I don't know where Subaru was going with the front end for the 06's but a nice black STI on some bronze (not gold) wheels with a nice drop is pure sex.

??? Are you sure? I think you might have accidentally done just a regular WRX, because an STI comes standard with both spoilers and the air diffuser underneath the rear end. There is no way to delete them from the factory, unless you get the new limited edition, but you can't build those yet.
