How did you go about making the center bar in the top grill completely even across? As the original has a "square" are in the middle for the Chevy badge. I like the way that grill looks.

very nice. you are very brave to go that extreme with the exterior, I think you are the first to do it and have it complete already. It looks really good though! Now time to upgrade the engine some more. What's your plans for the engine?

Okay the wing is stock, he put on a front bumper and He custom made the side kits from another kit. then he put on lambo doors. Then the other week we get the HP Tuner software is available. his pictures are dated 04/20/06. I think he got tired of waiting for some real performance parts and decided to do the body first. and he did a fine job. its not easy putting a race graffic on the car.

Many reasons why this car is not RICE.

1. its not ugly. that is the first body kit on a cobalt that has me saying wow.

2. Lambo doors match the car. Lambo doors on a stock cobalt. probably not looking as good.

3. Stock wing. He didnt put on a bigger uglier wing.

4. RICE or burning RICE is when the person has seat covers, dirtiy interior, every interior part is painted and is odd colors like lime green with baby blue, Big Ass wail tail, Fart can sticking out side ways. and most of all ZERO PERFORMANCE. Our cars are respectfully quick stock. nothing to scoff at. (i didnt say fast cause they are not fast just quick and can be made fast)

So lay off him. Your one of the few who decided to shoot him down. You dont have to like it. just dont insult him. Personally I think your just jealous.

ssnipes give your head a shake. There was no insulting. I said to me it screams rice. That doesn't mean it does to him and it's his car so that's what counts. I also said I don't like the front because of the size of the holes. Again this is my opinion which I am allowed to have.
Finally, I am spending about $20k on my performance mods to set my SS apart from all others and you think this body kit is something for me to be jealous about? Again, give your head a shake.

 

That cobalt would be so sexy if you did 3 things.

1. Took the Vinyl graphics off
2. Took the spoiler off
3. Painted the mesh on the front bumper black

 

I love it. Not rice at all if you ask me.

I dont like the body kit at all.. Doesnt look right to me.. Out of place would be the best thing to describe it.. I also think that the ripple in the door is throwing off the kit.

I do like the grill with the deleted bowtie and bowtie backing though.. And the headlights..

While I agree that everyone has their own opinions and are entitled to them; I think the reason he got mad at you was this statement you made in the original posting and again here..

The post was about him showing off his ride - people asked if he had performance, eventually someone answered, but I guess some people took this as you bashing his car and telling him that he should have done what you're doing instead.

As far as the car goes, I think it's alright, as long as you like it, you'll appeal to some crowds, and be frowned on upon others. But that's what people do to us for just owning the car!

looks wicked good! I like everything but the front bumper... I mean it's nice but it grabs too much attention from the rest of the car. props for a job well done!

 

I'm not a fan of graphics but thats because i like a very simple look but i think you did a good job! Love the lambo doors, that shi*ts hot!

 

I really don't like the front grill...... lambo doors look cool and the vinyl is a personal preference but that front grill has got to go. Congrats on your hard work it looks clean.

 

Your right this is a thread about his car posted for everyone to comment on and that was all I was doing. It seems that I am not the only one who dislikes the front and sneaky said it best.
I also accept that many people wouldn't do what I am doing and they would think I am nuts for doing it. Thats fine with me because their opinions are what makes us all different.
Now I will say that the graphics don't really seem out of place and I actually like the custom side skirts and hood I may even consider when I get around to doing something apperance wise.
On a final note, even with all I am doing it doesn't make my car any better than anyone else's, maybe just faster
