My new project

Well.. I have been planning on building another Cavalier but this came up and I couldn't pass it up. As soon as I get my Jimmy sold I will get it finished. Here are the pics.

It's probably going to cost me around 5000. My dad is the manager of a GM dealership and him and I will be doing everything ourselves so I can save quite a bit. It will probably have an aftermarket hood and spoiler and I am going to get stiffer motor and tranny mounts because the stock motor mount is broken. The S/C is ok... the pulley might be bent. That would be too bad... I'd have to put a smaller one on.

Good luck with it. It might take a little while to get the parts in though. Definately go with the smaller supercharger pulley.

I wonder how it got into an accident to begin with... check for frame damage and make sure the block isn't cracked.

thats what I was thinking..... buy it and part it out. if it has recaros, LSD, those rims, the wing, the one headlight, all the badges. people are buying all of it on e-bay right now. I'd part it out.

This is what I would like to do myself actually. I want to get a totalled base/ls coupe from a wrecker auction and just disassemble it completely for parts. I want to put together a spare engine/trans powertrain that I can have ready to drop in right away if my current one goes pop.

I would never drive that car again. prettied up or not, a wrecker is always a wreck.

The car isn't too badly wrecked. It will cost a bit to fix but will be done right using all GM parts and nothing will be rigged up to look good.

My car looked a hell of alot better than that when I crashed, come to find out it had $10,000 in damages. I'd be willing to bet that the frame is completely Effed up.

Is the spoiler still in good condition? I want it if you don't need it!

thats pretty much exactly what i'll be looking for when i finish school. I don't know why some of you guys are so against wrecked cars. TRUE they will never be the same again they've been wrecked. But that doesn't mean they can't be great performers at an awsome price!

is the car running? Are you actually able to drive it like that? I hope you have fun fixing it. You got it cheap but the reward will be best at the end seeing you fixed a wrecked car yourself you will love it even more.
