Thumbs up My upgrade

Well, as many may already know, I traded in my LSJ powered Saturn. I couldn't imagine the car being reliable for me in the long haul. It was one of the first LSJs sold in Texas (build date was April 04) so I guess it had some growing pains. At any rate, I traded it in for what you see below. Insurance premiums went up about $60 a year, and gas mileage is probably 3-5 MPG worse. Payments are up over $150 a month, but the finance term is 1 year less, so i consider it a wash.

I will probably still hang around the forums. I really like what GM has done with the LSJ and think the Cobalt/Ion platform is really benefiting from that blown 2.0 monster. I'm really hoping that the aftermarket will really start picking up and we can start hearing about LSJs consistently beating Evos, SRT-4s and other F/I 4-bangers. Enjoy.......

Yeah, LS2. Already have a few mods. CAI and a tune. Had it dynoed about a month ago, and it was less than I was hoping for. The CEL was on while while I drove it off the lot with less than 100 miles. I was informed that it was a cylinder misfiring. Idiots at the dealership didn't bother to replace the dark carbon coated plugs (they were nicely fouled when I removed them and replaced them I mean the car WAS misfiring). So after swapping the plugs with the exact same AC Delco plugs, the power feels appropriate now. I'm probably going to get a dyno soon and hope I see at least the 350+ that the LS2 seems to put down on average. I sure do miss the loud whine of the supercharger on the LSJ but maybe one day I'll slap on a magnacharger......Damn this mod bug!

OH and thanks everyone, funny thing though, this car has a steady diet of the same thing my LSJ Saturn did, Rice and lots of it. It does get a little more horse meat now than my Saturn did though

Wow. I want that toy instead. I wish I could afford one though. I think the insurance would kill me. The car payment wouldn't be too bad.

When you get in your GTO, does it say:

"Hello Mate! Want another shrimp on the barbie?"

lol

I'd laugh if it did.

I wish my car would speak Japanesse to me. It'll yell "Slow down, stupid american!" when I hit the rev limiter lol.

I like your moves!

I hope my next trade hopefully going to be an SS with 4 more cylinders, if they are worth a damn when they come out. And if it has less power than the LS2 gto's I'll be pretty ticked. It'll probably result in a ls2 swap into my lt1 camaro

Nice pick up...I love those GTO's. I think I like those rims over the other set the GTO's come with.
