definately lose the tails, those things are hideous. Not a fan of the badging, people know it's a chevy anyway. Needs to be lowered, don't care about road conditions, just lower it and drive carefully.

Let's see...how best to respond....

Tails: Not a chance
Badges: Who cares?
Lowering: Start making my car payments - then we will talk...

Very good good answer Nakaiya, he obviously has never driven in Salt Lake the dips on the entrances here are way deep even being careful with stock ride height I scrape a lot. They did the streets planning on huge floods here so lowering is insane period here. Then there is the snow I just had 1,600 dollars for whole new front bumper and clip and new inter cooler and I am at stock ride height. Oh by the way I am BLK08TC on rme Nakaiya.

^Hey! Thanks for the support... Yeah, until you lose an intercooler or know someone who has I don't think you truly appreciate how low our cars actually ride... This car is not an ss/sc....

btw... I got bored this weekend and picked up some paint. I ended up doing the fuse box cover, oil filler cap, and all the trim pieces (getting the steering wheel trim off was a pain). I went ahead and updated the underhood pic, but the lighting isn't quite right for the new interior pic. (It takes the right lighting at the right angle to pick up the color changing mirage paint)... I will update the interior when I can....

Update: I updated the first post with the new interior pictures. For the trim pieces I chose to go with the Duplicolor Mirage Ice... Looking at examples of of body color trim pieces, I felt that going that route left the car looking slightly off (perhaps overwhelming?). Instead I decided to enhance what was already there. The Mirage Ice adds a silver-opalescent sheen to the trim. When the light hits it just right, the colors add a depth to the trim that makes it look incredible. To get this look, I recommend skipping the kit base coat and don't sand the trim surface (the paint is extremely sheer). Instead, clean everything really well, use 2 coats of adhesion promoter (thin), and then start with the second stage paint. Each coat needs to be applied thinly with a couple of minutes dry time in between. At the end, use the third stage sealer/top coat. I used two cans of stage 2 and one can of stage 3 for all of my trim. It takes 2 hours for final setting before you can put everything back on the car. Also, since this paint is so sheer, you can paint the front of your ac controls without having to worry about covering anything up (except the knobs)...it ends up looking really smooth. Total time = 6 hours; PITA factor = 3 (pain to get the steering wheel trim off)

I also recommend wiping everything down with interior detailer about 24 hours after....

Another tail hater? (lol ) Trust me, you would have to see them in person - pictures really don't do them justice. They actually make for a very clean look (imo)...

I have ditched some of my "bowties" though... I just received my 24designs customized license plate cover so I put that on and in addition I went out and got some more paint. I had so much fun with the interior I went ahead and got some black paint and did the front/rear grills...It really makes a difference in the flow of the car. Now, instead of charcoal gray grills that stuck out, I have black grills which go with the black accenting I have already done on the rest of the car.... I replaced a few pictures so that people can see the difference the color makes....

My favorite color on the SS/TC. Your car looks killer!. Kickass sound system, too; you'll have my vote for sure.

Wheels ruin the whole car IMO. Dont like the graphics either on the trunk or the dash but I love the rest. Well done man!

For the head unit I had to get a LAN04 just to hook up the system. For the steering wheel controls I used a PAC-SWI module. It took about a week to get the old system torn out and get the new one in (including some sound dampening in the doors). The hardest part was wiring up the LAN and running all the wires... I actually ended up installing an additional speaker so that I wouldn't lose door chimes and turn signals. It was worth it though... The system definately kicks the old system's a$$!

Ah, another debager... no need for me to comment there - it is all good

Right now I am trying to save up for some O.Z. Ultraleggeras. I purchased the rims shown about a month after buying the car (in anticipation of winter). At the time I only had 3 choices for rims... I found out the hard way that even though wheels may be spec'd for the car... it doesn't mean they will fit over the brembos. Even these rims require a spacer... Long story short - I chose the best rims based on what was available....

However, if anyone does not like my rims, please feel free to contribute to the poor-coby-needs-o.z.-ultraleggeras fund that I have started. I am not picky and will be happy to accept all demoninations (large bills preferred though)...

Awww come on.... you guys aren't going to make it easy for me are you?....

how did you tighten down your trunk?
I will assume that you are talking about sound vibrations? I used acoustic sound dampening material...It helped alot - especially since I relocated most of my bass to the trunk... I actually had to cut a new floor for the trunk and re-carpet so that I could reinforce the trunk area....

needs a drop
Would love to.... but I would need to invest in intercooler stock at that point.... I will post some pics of the rain gullys in my area tonight if I get the chance....

nice choice on your head unit
Thanks!! I love this unit.... It does everything... and the bluetooth range is amazing - I can actually connect to my cell (in the house) before I even enter the driveway....
