New Member, Hello Everyone!

Just wanted to say hello and introduce myself. I just picked up a 05' Black SS S/C last week. Love the car and so far, no problems! I was reading in one of the threads someone mentioned that they stopped production of the 05' SS S/C in June. I do not believe this is true as my build sticker on the car states 07/05. July 2005.

I know my car is not a 2006 because it does not have the little GM symbol they are putting on all new cars. I have also examined my sunroof button trim and its on there solid as a rock. I dont know if they made some changes, but I have not had any problems so far. Over 1000 Kms on the car already, no leather coming away from the door handles etc..

Here are some pics..

Hey man welcome to the site. Be sure to check out post regarding the SOCC - our new Southern Ontario Cobalt Club. We're looking for new members all the time in order to grow this club. PM me with you contact info so I can add you to my email list.

P.S. Nice car BTW. I was almost going to buy that EXACT one but I held out for a 2006 instead. Hope to see you around soon. Ang

Congrats on your new SS/SC. I'm not sure if it's just my computer but those pics are huge.

I wish my car was that clean when I picked it up.. I bought the car from my uncle and he had to do a dealer trade to get it.. I picked up the car literally 3 minutes after it got to his dealership.

Back on topic, welcome to the forum and congrats on your purchase! I'm sure you'll be extremely happy with your car as is most everyone here is!

Took the words right outta my mouth...looks like one more member to add to the Toronto gathering. Now if you guys would be kind enough to meet me halfway between there and London....

Anyways, welcome to the site and enjoy the car .

Hey Permafried, I agree with player_1, Where do you consider half way ? Pick a spot, tell us and there will be Cobalts there ( you may notice that SS/SC drivers are always looking for an excuse to drive ). Buying coffee for everyone that shows up is also a good gesture. J/K , seriously Southern Ontario is pretty big, there is no reason why we always have to meet in Vaughn. Hell, I think it would be fun to take over a Hortons parking lot in some place like Grimsby, it would feel like a Chevy invasion to the locals

I was just kidding, I really don't mind making the trip up to TO...as Tio said, any excuse to drive . I'm determined to make it down to one this year even if I can only stay for a couple hours...I'll just make sure to leave London during non-peak hours otherwise it'll take me over 45 mins to get to the exit onto the 401. At least if I bring my LS down there should be more than one non SS/SC there this time and maybe it'll motivate others to bring their cars down .

As far as I'm aware there is only 4 SS/SCs in London and a handful of everything else so getting a meet together here is not only next to impossible but the GTA community seems to be much more active in these things...guess I live in the wrong city . I'm keeping my eyes peeled for when you hold your next one, hopefully it'll be planned slightly ahead of time and the weather is nice so I can make it this time...I was kickin myself in the ass after I missed the last one because of other things I had to do that weekend .
