Hey did they monitor your A/F ratio at that dyno. I really need to read my A/F ratio in order to decide what to do with tuning.

They can, it's only $35. I decided not to just because it was stock, I figure it's gonna be close to what other cars have stock. Next time I go I will though.

Corsa Sport exhaust

Well, I got my exhaust today. I started to take off the stock one before the Fed Ex truck arrived. Well, I decided to wait before cutting it though. Good thing too, It didn't arrive till 5:30.
Anyways, I finally saw through the stock exhaust, and get that off. I get everything back in place, and tighten it up, and take it out for a spin. Sounds great. Between this and the intake, I don't think my gas milage is gonna go up any time soon. Just sounds too good to keep her low in the RPM range. Anyways, here are some pics

Wow !! Great numbers !!!

I just picked up my Laser Blue SS/SC on Thursday, I've had it for a week and put over 500 miles on it. I want to get my car dyno'ed stock as well and see how it does. What did they charge you? I'm in Warren, 12 & Mound.

look at post 11 to see where I went and phone number.

It cost me $75 for 3 pulls. It's another $35 for Air Fuel. I didn't get the A/F because it was stock. Next time when I go I'm gonna get it though.

You should come out to some of our Southeast Ecotec Enthusiasts meets sometime.

Well, I went to the strip again yesterday. I was really hopeing to have my stage 1, 2.9 pulley, and mounts in by now, but haven't recieved the mounts yet, and stage 1 is still in backorder. So with just intake and exhaust I got an et of 14.1 with a trap speed of 102

Yeah, I'll be there the 13th for sure !!!

I'm interested to know what my car will run. I never been to Milan before and never raced so I'll probably be nervouse as hell at the take off and either stall or spin the fu*k out of the tires and end up with a 17+ second time. LOL

I been practicing my take off at lights so hopefully I wont choke when the time comes

Well, It's been awhile since I've updated this. I purchased the Torque Forward Motor and Trans mounts. I installed the right mount and the forward trans mount so far. Car doesn't have as much hop, and the vibrations are barely noticable at idle, and thats it. I'll be getting the dual braces from them pretty soon.

As seen in the NGalaxyTimmyo's pulley pull thread that sneaky put up, I've got my 2.9 pulley on there now. Car hits 16 lbs no problem, and does it ever pull. I went out and ordered some NGK BKR7E spark plugs, and picked them up the next day. I've got them gapped at .40, and so far I've felt quite a bit of difference in the car. I've only gone up to McDonalds and back so far though, so I'll try some more later.

Finally, I've called the dealership I ordered my Stage 1 from. Somehow they lost my order (oh no!) but I ran home and got my invoice, and they were able to find it. They said they have another stage 1 coming in later this week for stock, and it's mine now. So I should have that on by next week.

I'm planning on going up to the track a week from this wednesday if I've got my stage kit on, and get some pretty damn good numbers!

haha, it's been so long since I've read this. Anyways, it brought back some sweet memories of putting on my intake and exhaust.

Anyways, I have quite a few updates to make if anyone still cares (I do!)

I ended up calling back that dealership about my stage kit and canceled. I ended up ordering HP tuners along with the 60lbers and a 2.5 in Pulley. The Pulley hub didn't work right, so Intense overnighted me another one, and I was good to go. I ended up getting the other trans mount on as well, and installed an AEM Wideband. Lets see, what else happened...

I ordered a stage 2 belt (Bryan, you still owe me $44 for yours) after I made my 5 ribbed belt a 4 ribbed belt (we won't get into that) as well as putting a bigger idler pulley on, to take up any slack the 2.5 pulley would give. Took out the NGK plugs and replaced them. I then headed up to my dyno place and see how I was doing.

248 HP and 241 ft/lb of torque.

Not bad.

Headed up to the track, and ended up completing one of my goals last year, to break into the 13s. I did this with a 13.8

I went back to the track a couple months later once I got my XTC downpipe on.

My goal this time was to get a 13.5 with the cooler weather and driving experience, however, due to a failing clutch, my best were a couple 14.1's and a 14.0, as seen in these videos

8th run of the night
9th run of the night

Now that "winter" (or, as anyone around here could say, slightly cold spring) is here, I purchased a 2000 Cavy sedan. Much better then the 91 Grand Am I had last year. So now my car is sleeping the winter away in the garage. I check on her now and then, and make sure she's still ok.

For the Spring I'm already making purchases. I have hiding under my bed right now a Spec Stage 3+ clutch. I'm expecting a second heat exchanger soon, and am getting in on the JBP GB for cams.

I would have been happy with your runs! I only ran 14.1 with a 2.5 60'

Tim,

Looks like you still have lots of fine tuning to do, Torque curve seems jagged, I am willing to bet the car is meeting hesistation rather then smoothness. Good numbers none the less. Thought for sure over 250whp on a 2.5' pulley though ...

I painted them awhile ago. I got the duplicolor red brake kit. Works great if you take the time to properly clean them.

I'm sure I could have had a 13.5 if my clutch didn't slip like it was. Now just need to get that on.

They were just that jagged on that one run. my other three were pretty good.
Plus, that was 4-5 tunes ago. Come spring I think we'll be pretty surprised with what will be on that little ecu
